Sam Karas – A Lifelong Technologist and Our Resident Historian
Sam’s career is as rich as his photography archives—and he’s been a vital part of CaTECH’s journey since joining in 2006.
“My career started with big companies like NCR, SEARS, BELL, and IBM. I played hockey with Scott Forrestall back in the day—even on the same team sometimes! He invited me to join CaTECH a few times before I finally made the move, and looking back, I wish I’d done it sooner.”
Sam brought decades of technical expertise and leadership to CaTECH and served as Service Manager for 7 years, before stepping back—only to continue working two years later.
“I still love it here. I’ve enjoyed photographing every CaTECH event over the last 18 years—those moments captured tell the story of our company, our people, and our evolution. I feel blessed to have worked with amazing people like Scott and Cathy and so many others who made up my work family.”
From managing service teams to capturing milestones through his camera lens, Sam’s legacy is felt in every department—and every photo album.
Rick Klabouch – The Steady Hand on the Road of Success
With nearly 18 years under his belt, Rick is a testament to consistency, teamwork, and resilience. He summed it up beautifully:
